Basically this service will be exactly the same as Twitter, but with
several added features, such as poll taking, and the ability to join
groups. OpenID enabled. Android and iPhone apps will be available.
If you don't know about OpenID yet, you really should! It will be
your keys to the internet. One login and password to get you in to
sooo many sites! It's all done in a way that lets you control your
privacy and security! I'll have demos and information on it soon.
You're gonna love this one. :)
Our web based photo album organizer works much the same as flickr or
picasa, but also gives you an intuitive way to blend photo management
seamlessly into your own website. OpenID enabled. Android app
available, iPhone app in the works.
This is one of my most ambitious projects. I'll be setting up my own
distance learning web classroom. Any number of classes can be run from
this system, so if you want to teach, start getting your curriculum
together now. I'll be hosting everything I can develop, from basic
computer literacy, to web design, to hardware troubleshooting and
network configuration. Don't expect it all at once. It's going to take
some real time to develop the courses. OpenID enabled. Android and
iPhone apps available.
A google talk compatible chat server that will be capable of hosting
public and private chat rooms, as well as instant messaging. Google
talk direct integration will be available immediately. Yahoo,
Facebook, AIM, and other integration are in the works. Android apps
are available. Not sure what sort of support iPhone has for
Jabber/XMPP, but fairly sure Gtalk is there.
This groupmapping service will allow the sort of geographical "check
ins" that we've all become so fond of on Twitter, Facebook, and
Foursquare. But again, with some extra features coming in the future
that you're going to love! Android and iPhone apps will be available.
I think most of us understand what a wiki is by now. Pages that we
can all edit collaboratively. It's a good tool to have, even if you
can't think of a good use for it now. Maybe we could all write a
'choose your own adventure' type book?
"The Block" may not happen at all, but if it does, it will be a full
featured social networking site like myspace or facebook. The problem
is that its functionality overlaps many of our other services. For
example: A quick, "Hey, look what I found" type picture might just get
attached to a quick status update on our microblog or map site,
whereas your vacation filmroll would look much better in a real photo
gallery.
Many others...
Look forward to games, and anything else we can think to try!
